This program is for adults interested in learning the fine art of synchronized swimming. Basic synchro experience is a recommended prerequisite for this program, but not necessary. The instructor guides the participants through the required skill building steps to achieve more creative moves such as the sailboat, sculling, ballet leg, front pike, etc. As well, a team routine will be created to perform in the Winter and Spring Water Shows, as well as a possible duet or solo routine. If you are looking for a fun water workout that will challenge you physically and mentally, this program is for you. You’ll even gain some new friends in the process!!!
NOTE: A minimum of 3 participants are necessary to run the program.
No fall session for 2020
Tuesdays 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm and (OPTIONAL) Saturdays 10:00 am - 11:00 am for dryland (in the Evergreen Room, second floor of the Eastlink Centre) beginning January 5, 2021
Synchronized swimming is a team sport and the GP Synquatics Club has required team clothing. Dressing uniformly instills a sense of unity and pride amongst the swimmers at both the recreational and competitive levels. When swimmers participate in club activities inside and outside of the pool, they represent the Grande Prairie Synquatics Club in all they do. We want the public to be able to identify the girls in their activities to help promote and applaud them.
A variety of clothing with our logo will also be available for you to purchase at the beginning of the season. The link will be posted on our website and Facebook pages.
