This program is for swimmers who wish to gain fundamental skills in synchronized swimming but do not wish to participate in competitions. The swimmers will develop skills according to their competitive age group. The swimmer must have passed Red Cross Level 5 OR comfortably swim 50 meters (two lengths of the pool) and be comfortable swimming in deep water. The swimmers will work towards creating a team routine, and possibly a duet or solo routine at the coach’s discretion, for our Christmas and Spring Water Shows.

Synchronized swimming is a team sport and the GP Synquatics Club has required team clothing. Dressing uniformly instills a sense of unity and pride amongst the swimmers at both the recreational and competitive levels. When swimmers participate in club activities inside and outside of the pool, they represent the Grande Prairie Synquatics Club in all they do. We want the public to be able to identify the girls in their activities to help promote and applaud them.
A variety of clothing with our logo will also be available for you to purchase at the beginning of the season. The link will be posted on our website and Facebook pages.
*One pair of goggles is sufficient for beginning of season but must be replaced if necessary.
**Swimmer is not limited to a white cap during practice time, they may wear any cap they choose; A white cap is necessary for testing and the mock meet.
