The Competitive program is for swimmers who want to compete in Artistic Swimming Competitions. Coaches will help their swimmers learn and improve figures, physical fitness, and routines for competitions according to their age group. This upcoming season the competitive swimmers will participate in the 2024 Alberta Winter Games. They will also perform their routines at our Winter and Spring Water Shows.
Please contact our Head Coach if you need assistance deciding which program is right for your child.
Date and times: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00-6:00 & Sundays 11:00-2:00 September 12 2023- May 4 2024
Please note: Sundays are currently in Valleyview until we are back at Eastlink Centre.
Sundays will be 1:00-4:00 when we are back in the Eastlink Centre.
TEAM CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS
Artistic swimming is a team sport and the GP Synquatics Club has required team clothing. Dressing uniformly instills a sense of unity and pride amongst the swimmers at both the recreational and competitive levels. When swimmers participate in club activities inside and outside of the pool, they represent the Grande Prairie Synquatics Club in all they do. We want the public to be able to identify the girls in their activities to help promote and applaud them.
A variety of clothing with our logo will also be available for you to purchase at the beginning of the season. The link will be posted on our website and Facebook pages.
COMPETITIVE CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS
*One pair of goggles is sufficient for beginning of season but must be replaced if necessary.
**Swimmer is not limited to a white cap during practice time, they may wear any cap they choose. A white cap is mandatory for competition.
